Hi, I’m Leo!
Leo Eli is an artist that has just finished undertaking a degree in illustration. In the past few years, Leo has exhibited in local galleries, produced commissioned art for a local band which has since been taken on tour and produced a range of projects that explore themes of music and nature, while working as an art teacher in the Southeast of England during thier studies.
The imagee was created as documentation for a crown made from fabric and wire in response to the prinicples of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philisophical viewpoint where the transient nature of life is not only accepted, but celebrated.
In the aim of discovering and establishing their voice, Leonardo experiments with everything from sculpture and 3D creations to collage, watercolour and acrylic painting, printmaking and even dabbles in poetry. They find inspiration from their background in animal management and an afinity for music.
